Your pet will be here the majority of the day so please make sure to take them potty just before dropping off.
Late arrival fees start at 15 minutes. We may not be able to accept your pet if you are late and the cancellation fee will apply.
You are always allowed to drop off early and wait to pick up until you are ready, we don’t mind more time with your pet, just not less. However, prompt pickup is required if we stay past closing to finish your pet. Late pickup fees start 30 minutes after notification if we are already closed.
Cancellations the day of or the day before are $35, no call no shows are $50. Your card on file will be charged with a 3% processing fee. You can use Zelle or cash to avoid the fee.
Your pet’s service price is not set, it fluctuates depending on the amount of care they require each session. The factors are pet size and breed, pet still and aggression, coat length and thickness, coat condition, and difficulty of request.
We have rights to take pictures and videos of your pet and use them however we want.
Matting often causes serious skin issues like bacterial infections. Just because you noticed the issue after the groom, doesn't mean we caused it. We just exposed it.
Research suggests that externally expressing a dog's anal glands can be harmful. Internal expressions are much safer but vets are the only ones legally able to do them so we recommend bringing them to the vet for anal gland issues. If you would still like us to externally express them, you are releasing us of all liability in case of injury.
By allowing us to take care of your pet, you as the owner are indicating that you believe your pet is healthy enough to be groomed or that you are willing to have them groomed despite their medical condition because you believe it to be in their best interest. Silky Pet Spa is not liable for injuries up to and including the pet passing away in our care due to pre-existing medical conditions including age. If something of this nature does happen, we will rush the pet to the emergency room and, as the pet parent, you are 100% responsible for the medical bill.
Taking care of your loved one is a responsibility we don't take lightly, and we have educated our team on the safest methods possible. If a minor injury occurs, we will follow the same steps that emergency vets do and thoroughly irrigate the wound with saline solution followed by an application of Vet Bond. If the injury requires medical care beyond first aid, we will take your pet to the nearest available emergency vet to seek professional medical care. The decision between these two options will be at management's discretion. If a member of our staff is fully responsible for the injury, we will pay 100% of the cost of care. If the pet's behavior contributes to an injury, we will pay 50% of the cost of care. If the pet injures itself and there is nothing we can do to prevent it, the pet parent will be 100% responsible for the cost of care. The discretion between these possibilities will be up to Silky Pet Spa management.
If you told us that your pet is allowed to play with others, we are not responsible for any injury that occurs from socializing. (Of course we will not deliberately put them in a dangerous situation)
